Fostering interaction among all Thirteeners and providing a permanent, on-campus center of gravity for Thirteen Alumni, families, and friends of Colgate.
Welcome to Thirteen House at 13 College Street, our family’s home away from home here at Colgate!
Helping realize a dream shared by fellow Colgate 13 alumni, Bob (’85) and Jeanne Austrian purchased and rebuilt the farmhouse at 13 College Street in 2001 to create today’s Thirteen House.
Dedicated at Reunion in 2002, Thirteen House was designed as a weekend destination to enable Colgate 13 alumni, families and other Colgate supporters such as Board members and guests, to return to Hamilton in the comfort of a private home virtually on campus. The house is dedicated to the enjoyment of the Colgate 13, Colgate and the Hamilton experience—we’re confident you’ll love it!
Thirteen House has 5 bedrooms located on the second floor, and sleeps 10 people. Three bedrooms feature private bathrooms and king or queen beds, while two twin bedrooms—each with two twin beds—share a full bath in the hallway. A washer/dryer is available on the second floor. The house is centrally heated and air conditioned, is fully furnished and features +70 years of Colgate 13 memorabilia. Please note there is no television or cable at Thirteen House, but WiFi is provided.
Reservations for Thirteen House can be made up to one year in advance by sending email to firstname.lastname@example.org or calling Bob Austrian at 415-794-1199.
Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with the exception of Family Weekend and Graduation (when Colgate 13 seniors’ families and Colgate 13 Alumni with children at Colgate have priority) and Reunion (when Colgate 13 Alumni have priority). Note that below-market, overnight reimbursement fees serve to offset some—but by no means all—Thirteen House operating expenses.
Please refer to our Visitation Agreement for additional information about Thirteen House.
